Who is covered
The scheme covers buildings aged ten years or more, except domestic buildings of three storeys or fewer.
Steps
Read the notice carefully and note the deadline.
Appoint a qualified person (QP) to inspect all the windows in your flat.
If repairs are needed, a registered contractor carries them out under the QP's supervision.
The QP then submits the required documents to the Buildings Department.
Tips
When many flats in a building receive notices, arranging inspection together through the owners' corporation or management office is easier. If in doubt, follow the Buildings Department's guidance.
